I love that different colored metals have made a comeback! Copper, Brass, Polished Nickel, Antiqued Pewter…..and so many more. The type of metal you put into a room can completely transform the feel of it. Whether it’s in a light, hardware, nailhead, accessories, etc. Check out these sexy looks!
Everyone looked absolutely amazing last night. This was a hard thing to narrow down, but here were my top 5 looks of the night by the ladies.

Who was your best dressed female?
I realized yesterday that some of the leaves are already starting to change! This made me wonder what Fall might look like in other parts of the world. I found some very inspirational photos.
Well the truth is….there are probably many answers for this. But while studying some of the design trends to come, one item in particular kept coming up….a Murphy Bed. I think this is a brilliant thing to re-invent. It’s so great for smaller spaces and guest bedrooms that need to double as offices, etc.
Although I am an Interior Designer, I think people under estimate how similar the two industries can be. There are two days left of NYC Fashion Week. It has been such a delight to see all of the new products and predictions. Here are some of the hottest colors to come!
It will be interesting to see at Market in a few weeks how Interiors trends may relate….stay tuned!

I read a fascinating article in Stir Magazine by Sherwin Williams the other day about mens shoelaces. There is a trend going on where men are taking the traditional laces and making them in color to add a little pizzazz to their dress shoes, boots, and loafers. This was a brilliant idea executed by Ben Hertz in a company he started called Benjos. Such a great product and very handsome packaging.
We will never forget…September 11th, 2001.
